Snowmen drift into your life like they were sent from above. The relationship is great, rolls right along, and builds. Everything seems perfect … until a little heat is introduced. Then they melt, leaving only their hat, their scarf, something to remind their victims of what they’d lost. Urban cowgirl Haley Monroe is told that the fabulously hot guy who just dumped her was a snowman. Her friend, Maximilian, convinces her that the only way she’ll ever stop being played by snowmen is to become one. It takes a lot of drinks to work up the nerve, but Haley gets her sexy on and goes on the prowl. Famous horror author Larry White drops everything to attend a midnight séance at Maximilian’s apartment where he meets Haley. By the way she’s dressed—and just propositioned him—he assumes she’s a hooker. Larry can’t pass up the chance to get inside her head, especially since prostitution is the character’s occupation in his next book. After spending the weekend together, unexpected sparks surprise both Haley and Larry. The trouble is Haley is dead-set on snowmanning the unkempt “starving artist” she met at the séance, and Larry doesn’t think he could have a real relationship with a woman with a past, so they go their separate ways. The real fun begins when they meet again and find out neither one of them were who they thought they were. Can they reignite the flame? Or will they have a snowman’s chance in hell?

Meh I really wanted to like this book. The premise was good as were a few of the secondary characters. I also wanted to like the H and h for the most part but they did some VERY annoying things and came off as very junior high at times. They were supposed to be in their mid to late twenties. I was just disappointed. There were a couple of glaring grammatical mistakes so this wasn't worth it to me. Meh I really wanted to like this book. A short entertaining romance. I did enjoy this book overall, I wish there had been just one or two more chapters at the end to show the relationship development. However, I think this is the authors style and is great for people who don't want to spend days reading a book. I won this book in a giveaway and appreciate the entertainment :) A short entertaining romance. I have never heard the term "snowman" before, referring to men, but I have definitely known my fair share! I think a lot of us have, which makes us relate to Haley right out of the gate. She has been left once again, and is just starting to figure out the pattern, thanks to her friends. So, she attempts to go to the opposite extreme for a little while. Like any good rom-com heroine, she falls flat on her face and makes a fool out of herself, while also somehow coming off as endearing. Like any good rom-com heroine, she falls flat on her face and makes a fool out of herself, while also somehow coming off as endearing. There is a fine line between situations being contrived for comedic effect and simply being absolutely ridiculous. Dorlana manages to stay within the boundaries, making you chuckle while also truly believing that it could happen. Larry may be a famous horror writer, but he doesn't come off as a rich man. He is definitely passionate about his writing and research, observes everyone around him, and is constantly creating in his mind. He is smart and just very real. Lately, many romances are focused on the billionaire coming in to swoop the woman off of her feet. Larry has money, thanks to his fame and success, but you feel like he could be the hot guy down the street who is very attainable. I found myself crushing on him a bit, because I felt like I could actually know him. The chemistry between the two is evident early on and helps to navigate their roller coaster ride. You know that people and life in general are going to conspire to give these two some big twists and turns to test their relationship, but you want to take the ride with them to see it all play out. Then you have the supporting cast. Maximillian is the obligatory gay best friend, full of fun and crazy antics, yet lots of love for Haley. He is a very wise man and one you would definitely want in your corner. Brenda is the conniving "other woman" who is necessary for some conflict. A few other characters are peppered in, but well-placed. Their intertwined relationships are crucial to the plot. You have all of the ingredients of a successful romantic comedy formula that yields a delectable treat to savor with a cup of coffee or wine. I actually read the whole thing in one sitting, pages flying faster than usual, and practically hissed at anyone who interrupted me. I think Maximillian and Brenda have their own stories waiting to come out in a couple of spin-offs. I also think I need to find some more of Dorlana Vann's books! I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review

As a married woman, I found myself giggling throughout the entire book. I never had a name to put to a certain type of men but this book used the term 'snowman' perfectly! Rather than purchasing all of these 'how-to' books on relationships, this is a book that would be a better date guide than any and far outweighs the advice of your girlfriends. Rather than purchasing all of these 'how-to' books on relationships, this is a book that would be a better date guide than any and far outweighs the advice of your girlfriends. This book is a reminder to always be true to yourself and what you want in life. We fall into a pattern with everything in our lives - including our relationships - and if we step outside of the boxes that we create once in a while, we would be surprised at the amazing things that start happening in our lives. Haley and Larry both end up a séance and are essentially disguised as different people - Larry, a bearded, "starving artist" and Haley, a "pro" - both visibly at one of their worst moments but a moment that would be powerful in the rest of their lives. The characters all mesh well together to create a unique and fun dynamic that makes you feel like you're in the midst of a family. The supernatural aspect adds a bit of intrigue by wondering if there really are ghosts living in the apartment but soon, you discover just how valuable of a lesson this part of the book adds. Personally, I loved this book. It reminded me that life is full of heartbreak, troubles and struggles but that we can't let those stop what fate wants us to have. Sometimes we have to fight for what we want and if we feel like we can't live without it, then we owe it to ourselves to go after it. This includes love, careers, family, etc. I received a free copy for reviewing purposes.

I have to date not read any books by Dorlana Vann - BUT, I can guarantee that I will be looking for books of hers to read in the future!!! Snowmen is a different type book for me to read but OMG it was amazing!!! The book moves quickly and keeps you on the edge of your seat, wondering what is going to happen next. I love the way that the author introduces characters throughout the book. Haley Monroe (the main character) has learned the definition of SNOWMEN the hard way. BUT - believe me, once you start reading, you will be so entwined in the story that you will not want to stop until you finish the book!!! I was given a copy of this book for an honest review.

Really wordy and repetitive Story was wordy and repetitive. There were way to many times the characters rehashed things that had happened. They not only rehashed it once, but sometimes two or three times. Characters were not well developed and there was way to much going on. Loved this romantic comedy of the roller coaster ride trying to find your true love. Snowmen as a term was unknown until I read this, but I could immediately apply the title to some past men I have known. It was a sweet, funny and well-written romantic romp that I would highly recommend to he devoted romcom reader.

Entertaining The best way to describe this book is cute & fun. There is humor, wicked exes and sweet romance. Larry & Haley aren't characters that remain with a reader long after the story is finished. However, they make for an enjoyable read as they overcome their numerous misunderstandings. Fun read; entertaining with colorful characters. Favorite quote: "Wait, wait, wait. Back up. I don't remember telling you to act like some Cinderella ho. I told you to make someone fall for you."
