We also get to see the sisters’ individual romances develop in each story. These mysteries are light and a bit silly, but endearing all the same. And the real star of the show is the relationship the sisters share with one another.

Best of series so far This is the third in the Sweet Cove series by J A Whiting. Things are moving along in Sweet Cove, Massachusetts. Angie is finally able to begin renovating the Victorian home she inherited from Professor Linden and is excited to have her bakery, Sweet Dreams back in business. Angie is finally able to begin renovating the Victorian home she inherited from Professor Linden and is excited to have her bakery, Sweet Dreams back in business. As demolition begins, Tom finds a locked box hidden in a wall. The box contains torn photos, and the sisters can't help but wonder who hid these pictures and why. As the family digs into the history of the pictures they discover some hidden secrets regarding their Nana and her property on Robin's Point. Rumor has it that Nana had insisted that the property was hers and not owned by the town, but the evidence is missing and these secrets reveal some odd family connections. In the box with the torn photos is a family tree that shows Professor Linden and her father are related to the Roseland sisters. The professor's father John Turner is brother to Forsythia, the sisters great grandmother. Why did John Turner have fabricated documents made to take the land from his own sister? Angie, Jenna, Courtney and Ellie use their own powers to dig deep into the family secrets. Tour guide Shirley Banks offers Angie some insight on the secrets, but is Shirley a friend or foe? What does historical society volunteer Paul Wilson have to do with it? Did his job as former town clerk have something to do with the missing land records? Cats Euclid and Circe have a lot to say, or should I say "hiss" in this excellent series. Grab your copy and join the family in celebrating the grand opening of Finch & Roseland Confectioners as Courtney and Mr. Finch become partners in this wonderful series. Believe me, you won't want to put this book down!

This is the third in the series. (I still haven't read the first) I so enjoyed the second book in this cozy series that I just had to keep going and immediately bought this one for my Kindle and kept right on reading. They were fast reads and fit in for a hot Sunday afternoon/evening. Having no air conditioning here, I was looking for something light and easy to read to distract me from the heat and humidity. Both book 2 and this one fit that need quite nicely. As I wrote in my review of Book 2, This is the third in the series. Four sisters, who love each other and are discovering their "paranormal" gifts. (but not too heavy on the paranormal) Then there are two cats who help the sisters, budding romances, a New England shore town setting, mysteries to be explored. This book delves into more of why Professor Linden left the Victorian mansion to Angie and discoveries about the sisters' Nana and the land that may have actually been hers to own. There is a July 4th town celebration which really adds to the "cozy" aspect. The characters of each of the four sisters are well developed. They are different than each other but their love for each other is strong. I liked the fact that I could read both the second and third in the series in one day. (still have to get to the first)

The more I read in this series, the more I like the characters and can see them growing and changing as they've all settled into their new roles in their new town. It was so sweet by the end of the book that all the sisters seemed to have a boyfriend interest, and even their new friend Victor Finch found a little love connection with his real estate woman. I'm loving the new black cat Circe. She's just as intuitive as Euclid, and the cats get many chances to prove how helpful they can be. This was a good mystery even though there was no murder (well, there were nearly several in the end, but thanks to a certain orange cat, the crisis was averted!), but there was an interesting investigation that involved all of the sisters, their lawyer and Victor Finch. I was glad to see that the reason was finally uncovered as to why Angie inherited the Victorian. A couple of other side mysteries were wrapped up too. This book was good about not mentioning the killer in the second book at all, but I'd still recommend reading in order to get the full effect of all the characters.

I enjoy this fun, light enjoyable series. This is a good series for listening to when being active [I have these as audio books] as it keeps my attention and is good fun, but doesn't demand an heavy thinking so it is perfect. The light paranormal aspect adds a nice twist, but again, not heavy or hard. This really is a fun series, and I like it. I enjoy this fun, light enjoyable series. Another cute cozy If you like cats, baking, candy making, or just eating, you will enjoy this. As usual, the sisters still get along better than most and have even adopted a father figure. Everyone , almost, has an admirer. Oh yes, the mystery --there is one!

Good series Enjoy the series. It was an easy read. Would have preferred Courtney as the main character - she's pretty awesome... I don't usually read paranormal books, but this was a freebie. There are 4 sisters who are slowly learning that they have "powers." The time is the present, but they are involved in past mysteries, too. The sisters have returned to the town where their grandmother lived and they spent wonderful summers. However, mysterious things start to happen, and they are led to wonder what really happened to their grandmother. It's a good cozy mystery, but is the 3rd in the series. In this book we see the development of paranormal senses in the sisters. This book is full of mystery and the sisters finally discover the facts about their Nana’s having to sell her land to the town years ago. There has always been a lack of facts as to why this occurred when Nana thought the land was owned by her mother. Angie discovers why the Professor really left both her house and some money to her. Romance continues for the sisters and Mr. Finch becomes an honorary member of the family.

This is the third book in the series. It is a cozy mystery series, that has a little bit of paranormal activity thrown in. Mainly two cats that have a keen sense of awareness and some sisters that have powers passed on from generations of women. While it is a common theme throughout the books, the stories and characters themselves are quite interesting. This are quick, fun reads and you don't always guess the who-done-it right away. I liked it. This was my first book in the series (although it is #3) so I am going back to read the first three. This is a good stand alone story or part of the series where you get to following these sisters through their challenges from a family mystery to a town history. I'm not sure I understand their "powers" though. It's more like intuition or ESP, with a couple of exceptions (one involving the cat). Gotta love the cats. I liked it. Cute This is a sweet, clean mystery that is buried in the long-distant past. Angie and two of her sisters (Ellie is annoyingly timid) are trying to uncover what happened to their grandmother and her inheritance. The characters are mostly likeable, the very light paranormal aspect is appropriate, and the plot is fairly standard. I hate that while the mystery is solved there's no real justice for those affected...or is there?! Cute This is a sweet, clean mystery that is buried in the long-distant past. The sisters in Sweet Cove have another mystery after a box of torn snap shots is found in a wall during renovations. Who were these people? Why is there a photo of their Nana included? Whilst investigating the sisters discover other questions and all the answers lead to the sisters being in danger. Good read.

Delightful Series I am enchanted with the Roseland sisters and the supporting cast of characters in these delightful cozy mysteries. I especially love the felines, Euclid and Circe. Their personalities help carry and add spice to the storyline. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. This installment had more twists and turns than the previous 2 books in the series, which was nice. As a decades long mystery reader, it's nice when author's don't have to resort to dried out plot lines. Overall a good book, nice for a long trip or lazy weekend. More background This installment deals with the background of the sisters’ nana and the reasons Angie inherited the Victorian house. The writing isn’t the best and the “powers” that the sisters have are a stretch. The plot was ok though

A wonderful story A cozy mystery set on the north shore of Massachusetts. With this series, JA Whiting has achieved a happy medium between her Paxton Place mysteries (which are more mystery than "cozy") and the Boston and Nantucket series. Interesting storyline Psychic cats, romance and murder make for interesting reading. With the sisters developing “powers” it changes the storylines from regular murder mysteries to paranormal investigations. It’s light reading for people tired of the Corona Virus news.

Reading this book made me wish I could find a town like that - minus the murders. A bakery and a candy store with friendly owners sound like the perfect establishments for a small town. This was an easy read and very enjoyable.

I liked the mystery and even though we were pretty sure who was the bad guy there was still a twist! Some of the conversations seemed stilted, but maybe audiobook narrator wasn't the best. I'm not sure. The sisters all seem very close and that added postively to the book. I liked the mystery and even though we were pretty sure who was the bad guy there was still a twist!
